Will of Catherine Ross, deceased
Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou
The last will and testament of Catherine Ross of Plymouth in the County of Pictou Province of Nova Scotia made this twenty second day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred eighty six.
I Catherine Ross being infirm in body but of sound disposing mind and memory and fully conscious of the uncertainty of human life do hereby make this my last will and Testament.
First - I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved son William Henry Ross one half acre of land beginning at the southern boundary of the homestead lot being the division of land between said lot and the lands of John J. Hoak, on the street boundary in front of same also running northerly**** distance to measure one half acre as aforesaid running westerly to lower road being the western boundary of the said Homestead lot.
Second I give device and bequeath unto my beloved son D. S. Ross of Spring Hill one half acre north of his brother William Henry's lot being of the same area and measured in the same way and being from the front to rear of the Homestead lot that is to say from the boundary of street to that of the other.
Third I give device and bequeathed to my beloved daughter Agnes the house now occupied and owned by me together with all personal property of whatever kind may possess at death, as well as the household furniture and cooking utensils all and singular also the residue of the land being three acres all of which I devise and bequeath for her sole use and benefit forever.
I give device and bequeath unto my beloved daughter Mary one bedstead and bedding complete and I further device and order that the Homestead will be at times open for admission to her if at any time she should visit - is temporarily or permanently at her pleasure reside there.
Fifth I appoint my beloved sons William Henry Ross and D. S. Ross executors of this my last will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have to this my last will and Testament my hand set and seal affixed the day and year first written above.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Catherine Ross late of Plymouth in the County of Pictou Widow deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 9th. day of August 1911.
