Estate of Robert Roddick late of Roger's Hill, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God, Amen. I Robert Roddick of Roger's Hill of Pictou, Farmer, being of perfect mind and memory and calling to mind the mortality of my body do make this my last Will and testament, that is to say, first of all, I recommend my body to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors, and all my lawful debts if any paid and as to touching such worldly estate as it has pleased the Lord to bless me with in this life I give,, device and dispose of the same in the following manner, First I give, device and bequeath unto my daughter Margaret Jane Two Hundred Dollars and to my beloved wife Elizabeth all the money due me at the time after the Two Hundred Dollars willed to my daughter Margaret Jane, said money being owing to me by William Roddick, Miller, West River and to my son George those two lots of land lying situate and being on the east side of the west river, one lot being the lot of land with the buildings thereon on which at present William Roddick Miller resides, the other a wood lot lying and being between the lands of Widow John Matheson and William J. Maxwell.
I do also constitute and appoint my wife Elizabeth Executrix, and my son William, Executor,
Signed, Sealed, and pronounced and delivered by the sad Robert Roddick as his last Will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence, and in the presence of each other have hereunto set and subscribed our names this eighth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and eighty five.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Robert Roddick late of Roger's Hill, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this twentieth day of May A.D. 1885.
