Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I Alexander McDonald of Cape John  in the County of Pictou, Farmer,  do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament, and by it do revoke all wills by me heretofore made.

to my beloved wife Margaret Ellen MacDonald I will and bequeath all my real and personal estate of whatever nature wherever situated for her use and benefit.

I also appoint my beloved wife Margaret Ellen MacDonald guardian of my beloved son Roderick MacDonald, and it is my desire and wish, that give him a good education and I commit them both to the loving care of our heavenly father who has promised to be a husband to the widow and a father to the fatherless.

I also name Constitute and appoint my beloved wife Margaret Ellen MacDonald to be the  executrix of this my  last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereto my hand Subscribed and Set  this thirty first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and ninety four.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Alexander McDonald, late of Cape John, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou, this 30th day of November A.D. 1894.
