DIED

At Guysborough, on the 27th ult. in the 45d year of her age, Mrs. Susanna Horton.  It may be said of this exemplary woman, that she died, as she has lived for several years, in the experience of His grace, who hath said, "The Kingdom of God cometh not with observation.  Simplicity, humility and love, were the prominent features in her character.  In her the poor have lost a sympathising friend; while her bereaved husband, numberous relatives, and christian acquaintances, may justly mourn their loss as for one, who was an amiable companion, whose conversation ever "seasoned with grace," was wont to dwell upon the Saviour's love; and whose chief enjoyments in life sprung from the consolations of religion.  "The sting of Death" having been drawn by the power of faith, she was enabled, several days previous to her departure from Time to Eternity, to rejoice in the Lord, and in a very affecting manner, to express her sense of that mercy, which had preserved her from leaving her soul's concerns to a moment when bodily pain alone was sufficient to struggle with.
