Estate of James Brennan, Senior, late of Pictou, Yeoman, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God Amen -
I James Brennan Senior of Pictou in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Yeoman being of sound disposing mind and memory, Do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved son James Brennan Junior all the Real Estate and personal property of all kind and nature which I may died possessed of including the Dwelling House and Lot in which I now reside situate at the East end of the town of Pictou, bounded on the north by Denoons Street on the East by John Haley's Lot, on the west by Michael Lohalen's Lot, and on the South by Land of Malcolm Campbell, with all the houses and buildings thereon, also the Field situate at the west end of the Town of Pictou on the North side of the old road, so called, containing two and one eighth acres. Also the Field on the East End of the Town of Pictou situate on the north side of the Beaches Road continuing four acres all of which real estate and premises to be and become the property of him the said James Brennan Junior absolutely, and in his own sole right.
I direct that my said son James Brennan Junior pay to my beloved daughter Sarah Brennan wife of John Haley, the sum of One Hundred Dollars out of the proceeds of my estate.
I direct that my said son James Brennan Junior pay to my beloved daughter Mary Brennan wife of Donald Gorman of Kensington, P.E. Island, Five dollars the same being given to her as a token of remembrance from me.
I nominate constitute and appoint my said son James Brennan Junior as Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal at Pictou aforesaid this twenty fourth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

Signed Sealed and declared by the said testator as his last Will and testament in the presence of us, who in his presence and in the presence of each other at his request all being present at the same time have hereto subscribed our names as witnesses. Being first read over and explained to him.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one and a half pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of James Brennan, Senior, late of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Yeoman, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
