Estate of Ellen Ross, late of Stellarton in the County of Pictou, Widow, deceased, Testate
Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou
In the name of God, Amen. I, Ellen Ross of Stellarton in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia being sick and weak and body but of a sound and disposing mind and memory and calling to mind the certainty of death and the uncertain time thereof, I hereby do make and publish and declare this my last Will and testament, as follows viz.
First I commit my Soul to Almighty God in hope of pardon through the merits of the Lord Jesus Christ the Savior of sinners.
Second I give and bequeath to my grandson Charles Stewart Ross son of David Ross my house and lot of Land on Albion Street at Stellarton bound by lads of William Logan on the south of Acadia Coal Co. on the East, and of Alexander Wylie on the north, also my household furniture.
Third I give and bequeath to my son Daniel Ross whatever money may remain in my executor's hands at my decease after paying my funeral expenses and erecting a Head stone on my grave.
Lastly I do hereby appoint Rev. Thomas Cumming, John McIntosh and Alexander Grant all of Stellarton to be my executor of this my last will and Testament. and I hereby disallow, revoke and disannul all and every other will and Testament by me in any way named, ratifying and confirming this to be my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and seal subscribed and set the twenty eighth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and eighty two.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Ellen Ross late of Stellarton, in the County of Pictou, Widow, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this ninth day of December A.D. 1882.
