Estate of Thomas Ross late of Millville, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

Know all men by these presents that I Thomas Ross of Millville in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia Farmer, Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner & form as follows.

First I will and direct that all my just and lawful debts if any be paid out of the proceeds my estate.

Second I will and bequeath to my brother James Ross all my Real Estate during his life and at his decease the Real Estate be sold, and the proceeds divided equally between William Ross of Pictou my nephew and Murdoch Ross nephew as aforesaid of California U.S. and Effie McLeod my niece, also of California U.S. and Maggie Ross my niece also of California and lastly,

I give and bequeath to my niece Christina Ross of Pictou the sum of two hundred Dollars be paid to her by my executors as soon as convenient to them also house furniture to my brother James Ross for his lifetime, and I hereby revoke all former wills by me made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.

And I nominate and appoint David Hatch of Millville and John Roderick MacDonald of Elmfield my executors of this my last Will and Testament.

Signed sealed and declared to be the last Will and Testament of the Testator who in the presence of us and in the presence of each other and in his presence and at his request have signed our hands as witnesses hereunto.

Dated at Millville in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia this twenty seventh day of May in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and ninety eight.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Thomas Ross late of Millville, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
