Will of Thomas Ross, deceased
Certified Copy of Will for Reg of Deeds Pictou
I Thomas Ross of Middle River in the County of Pictou in the Province of Nova Scotia Farmer and Blacksmith being of sound and disposing mind and memory to make and publish this is my last will and testament here by revoking all former wills and testamentary dispositions heretofore at anytime by me made.
I hereby give devise and bequeath to my son Robert G. Ross all that portion of my land property at or near Middle River in Pictou County on which he at present resides and bounded on the south by the Middle River Road, on the west by the brook which runs between his house in which he now resides and my homestead and a straight line westward from the course of the said brook at the Middle River Road in a northerly direction until it reaches the old Gerrard line fence and from thence eastward along said line thence till it reaches the Granton Road and thence southerly along said Granton Road to the Middle River Road at their junction together with the house and all out all else on said property,
And also that other piece of land which I hold by deed in situate east of the Middle River and south of the Middle River Road together with my shops and all other buildings thereon and all my tools plant stock and book accounts and all other moveable property whatsoever pertaining to my late business.
I give devise and bequeath to my wife Mary Jane all the remainder of my land property being situated at or near the Middle River not already given devised and bequeathed to my son Robert G. Ross including my present homestead with all other buildings situated thereon together with all the personal property belonging and pertaining thereunto,
I also give to my wife Mary Jane all the money I shall have at my decease with all notes of hand after funeral expenses and debts have been paid by her paid therefrom.
I give and bequeath to my daughters Christy Ann and Margaret Sophia one hundred Dollars each to be paid to them by my wife Mary Jane out of the moneys herein given and bequeathed to her.
I hereby appoint Dr. Samuel S. Archibald of Green Hill my son Robert and my wife Mary Jane to be the executors and executrix of this my last will and Testament.
In witness whereof I have hereto set my hand this seventeenth day of December AD 1901.

Signed published and declared by the said Thomas Ross as and for his last will and Testament in the presence of us, present at the same time, who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses to the execution hereof.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Thomas Ross late of Middle River in the County of Pictou Farmer deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the twenty first day of November Ad 1902.
Witness my hand at Pictou this 21st. day of November 1902.
