Estate of James Bone, late of Little Harbor, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
Know all men by these presents, that I James Bone Senior of Little Harbor in the County of Pictou, farmer, being of sound discerning mind and memory do hereby make publish and declare this my last Will and testament.
1st. I give and bequeath to my wife the Farm upon which I know live with all the buildings, thereon and appurtenances thereto belonging and also all my personal effects goods and chattels of every kind and description for her use and support during the term of her natural life.
2nd I give and bequeath at her death three acres of land in the rear of my farm, adjoining the lands of Adam Fraser and Daniel McDonald to John William Bone for his sole use and benefit for ever.
3rd. I give and bequeath the residue of my said Farm at the death of my wife (subject to a further bequest herein made) to Ann Bone my daughter in law wife of David Bone during the natural term of her life, and at her death I give and bequeath the same to her four children viz. Catherine Moffat, Bella, and John B one for their use and benefit for ever (subject also to a further bequest herein made).
4th. I give and bequeath also to my said daughter in law the residue of my personal property, that may remain after my wife's death and not herein devised.
5th. I give and bequeath to my daughter Janet the privilege of a Home in my House with her mother, and also with my said daughter in law during the natural term of her life and I ordain that she shall be maintained with food and raiment off my said farm (provided she should not marry) for her work. And in case my said daughter in law and her family should not occupy the place and remain on it, then in that case my daughter shall have power and authority to remain on the farm and support herself of the same during her life time. I also give my said daughter Two Sheep and such articles of Furniture as my wife may leave at her death.
6th. I give and bequeath to my sons James and Robert the sum of one Dollar each.
7th. I appoint and constitute John Reid (Mill) and my son James, Executors of this my said last Will and Testament, dated at New Glasgow in the County of Pictou, this eighteenth day of September A.D. 1880.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of two pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of James Bone, Senior, late of Little Harbor in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
