Estate of Kenneth McKenzie, late of Pictou Island, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
I Kenneth McKenzie, in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia, Yeoman, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say,
First I ordain that after my decease all my Real Estate and my personal property be sold and the proceeds thereof divided between my Three daughters as follows, i.e. To my Daughter Mary McKenzie I bequeath one half and the other half equally divided between my two Daughters Bella and Viney McKenzie.
Also, I bequeath unto my three Daughters the liberty if that be their desire in the event of their getting married and wishing to occupy and live on the Farm on which I now reside, Provided first, that such one pay the shares of the other two, then she may occupy my lands and tenements without molestation, from her sisters or any person acting in their behalf.
I ordain that I be decently buried and my funeral expenses together with all my other legal debts, the expenses of this my will included be paid out of my personal property before it be divided.
I also appoint and ordain as my executors to this my last Will and testament Mefsos. Hugh McDonald and Alex F Campbell to see that this my last Will and Testament and every point thereof is lawfully carried out.
I hereby revoke all other and former wills by me made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I the said Kenneth McKenzie have hereunto my hand and Seal subscribed and set at Pictou Island aforesaid this fifteenth day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Eighty three.

In the Court of Probate of Wills
I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Kenneth McKenzie late of Pictou Island in the County of Pictou, Yeoman, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou this 20th. day of December A.D. 1883.
