Last Will and Testament
of Sarah J. Lowe
 
Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds
 
This is the Last Will and Testament of me, Sarah Jane Lowe of Westville in the County of Pictou, Spinster, I hereby revoking all former Wills.
 
I direct all my just debts, funeral and Testamentary expenses to be paid and satisfied by my executor hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.
I give and bequeath to my niece Sarah Lippencott, one feather bed and bolster and pillows.

I give and bequeath to my grand niece Mrs. John DeVine, easel and picture of my mother, also one feather bed, bolster and pillows.

I give and bequeath to my friend Mrs. James Floyd of Westville, my gold watch.

I give and bequeath to Mrs. Roderick McKenzie of Westville, my gold watch chain.

I give and bequeath to Mrs. George McKenzie of Westville, my silk quilt.

I give and bequeath to St. Bees Church Rectory Fund, Westville, the sum of One Hundred Dollars.

I authorize and empower my executor hereinafter named to sell my house and lot situate on Queen Street in the Town of Westville, and to divide the moneys obtained from such sale equally between my niece Mary Ann Henison and my brother David William Lowe.

I give and bequeath  the residue of  my estate to my heirs provided by the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1900, Chapter 140, section 4, sub-section 2.

I nominate and appoint Struan G. Robertson of Westville in the County of Pictou, Barrister-at-Law, to be the executor of this my  last Will and authorize him to be paid for any professional services he may render in the connection with carrying out the provisions of this my will.

Dates at Westville, N.S., this 16th. day of October, A.D., 1905.

Signed, published and declared by the above named Sarah Jane Lowe, testatrix, as and for her last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, both present at the same time, who at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

I hereby nominate and appoint John McKenzie of Westville, Butcher, son of Roderick McKenzie, to be the executor of my said will, in addition to the executor named therein, and in all other respects, I confirm said Will.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this Twenty-second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and six.

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Sarah Jane Lowe late of Westville in said County, Spinster  which said will  was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 23rd. day of February AD 1910.

Witness my hand at Pictou aforesaid this 23rd. day of February AD 1910.
