S. River Pictou Co.
I Elizabeth Mary Lowden being old in age but sound in mind do make publish and declare this to be my last will and Testament
I give and bequeath to my son Dickson Robert Lowden that lot of land lying between Salt water and D McIntosh's land in ** and one hundred acres land on Second Division of said place to him his heirs and assigns forever I also give him the Sum of one hundred
I give and bequeath to George Lowden the adjoining hundred acres to him his heirs and assigns forever
I give and bequeath to my three sisters each twenty five
I give and bequeath to Porta*** School Mrs. Watson (Silver) each the sum of twenty Dollars.
I give and bequeath India Mission, the Gran** Corea Mission each the sum of Forty dollars.
I give and bequeath to E.J. Copeland, Sarah Lowden, Ann Copeland, Jane McQueen, Mrs. Ella Roy each the sum of ten
I give and bequeath to my orphan girl the Sum of one hundred
I give and bequeath to my nephew George Fullerton the Sum of one hundred Dollars
Whatever is over after paying all dues and demands is to be divided between Jessie McQueen and D.R. Lowden he is also to have his choice of the lots of land already mentioned, all sums bequeathed is to be given personally or to them written order with the exception of the Mission money that can be given to Rev. A Rogers
I appoint Mr George Douglass ***, and Miss Jessie McQueen my sole executor and executrix of this my Will
I now hereunto Set my Seal and Subscribe my name in the presence of John Grant and Jessie McQueen and in the presence of each other this third day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and three

I Elizabeth Mary Lowden do make and declare this Codicil to my will to be the last
I herein authorize Jessie McQueen to dispose of any articles I may leave I will give her written instructions
I give and bequeath to Dickson R Lowden the other part of his lot land beside D McIntosh across he little Creek bounded by banks Salt water and lands of John Dunn on the South side and running east beneath the old shipyard and above two hundred feet or more wide to him his heirs and assigns forever
I now Set my Seal and Sign my name in presence of Jessie McQueen and Muriel Cunningham this 19th day of August

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament with Codicil of Elizabeth Mary Lowden late of Sutherlands River in the County of Pictou Widow deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 10th day of December AD 1903.
