I, Margaret C. Lawrence of West River in the County of Pictou, widow to make, publish, and declare this to be my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills and testamentary documents  by me at any time heretofore made.

I hereby appoint W.B. Ives of Pictou, Barrister, and William P. Creighton of West River, farmer,  executors of and trustees under this my will. This appointment does not disentitle the said W.B. Ives from any professional charges for business transacted with regard to my property but I expressly declare and will that he is entitled to be paid for services in connection with said trust including acts which a trustee not being in any profession or business could have done personally, and proctors fees -

I give and authorize my said trustees full power to execute good and sufficient deeds of my real estate and to lease mortgages or sell the same as to them may seem fit.

I give devise and bequeath to Williamina Hanscom, daughter of my sister Jane A. Sutherland, the promissory note for six hundred and thirty five dollars (word and scratched out initials Mc.C.L., S.G. and J.W. MacD. in margin) principal, and interest dated on or about the first day of December A.D. 1902, made by her husband W.H. Hanscom in my favor, payable two years after date.

I  give and bequeath to my niece Charlotte Creighton, wife of the aforesaid executor and trustee, William P. Creighton, the mortgage made by the said William P. Creighton and Charlotte Creighton, his wife, to me, of their farm and premises at West River, bearing date the twenty-fifth day of August A.D. 1905 and all the principal and interest due thereon at the time of my decease, to have and to hold the same absolutely.

All the rest, residue and remainder of my real estate and personal property I give and bequeath to my said executors and trustees in trust to collect all debts due to me, except the mortgage debt already devised and bequeathed to the said Charlotte Creighton and the note bequeathed to Williamina Hanscom and to sell my real estate and to convert all my property into money and after the payment of all my just debts and funeral expenses to divide the remainder into two equal shares or parts and to dispose of the sums as follows: -

To pay to my niece Charlotte Creighton one share or equal one half part thereof and event of her death to pay the same to her executors or administrators;

To pay the remaining share or half part to my sister Elizabeth Wiilliamina Reid of San Francisco , California whose present address is No. 241 Webster Street, San Francisco, California if she survives me and in the event of her death the said portion of my estate hereby willed and directed to be paid to her, is to be paid to the aforesaid Charlotte Creighton absolutely.

In Witness Whereof I, the said Margaret C. Lawrence, have hereto set my hand and seal this thirteenth day of March  in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seven.

Lawrence testatrix,, as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us both present at the same time who, at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other have signed our names hereto as witnesses; the word "and" being struck out in the thirty second line of first page.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the written paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Margaret C. Lawrence late of West River in the County of Pictou Widow deceased  which said will  was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 26th  day of February AD 1908.
