(Handwritten) In the Supreme Court October Term 1844 Docket of Judgement Patrick Desmond & Jane Desmond and Joseph McNaught Dates 9th Decr. 1844 Entries In the Supreme Court Ocober Term 1844 Matheson Atty. Cause - Patrick Desmond and Jane Desmond his wife -- Plaintiff. & Joseph McNaught - Defendant DF 33.13.0 C 5. 8.0 F 39.1.0 Confefsion by plea on Indebitatus Assumfsit between the said Patrick Desmond and Jane Desmond his wife and he said Joseph McNaught as well for the sum of Thirty three pounds and thirteen shillings Damages and costs of suit. Therefore it is considered that the said Patrick Desmond and Jane Desmond his wife do recover against the said Joseph McNaught their damages aforesaid of Thirty three pounds and thirteen shillings and also the sum of Five pounds and eight shillings for their costs of suit amounting in all to Thirty nine pounds and one shilling and the said Joseph McNaught in mercy JC. Blifs 22nd.Octr. 1844 I, James Skinner, Deputy Prothonotary of Her Majesty's Supreme Court of Judicare for the County of Pictou, in the Province of Nova Scotia, do hereby Certify unto all who it doth or may concern, that the following is a true and correct extract and copy of the original Docket and Judgement in the cause of Patrick Desmond and Jane Desmond his wife against Joseph McNaught entered upon the Docket Book of Judgement of Her Majexty's Supreme Court, at Pictou, in the Province aforesaid, Letter 6, Page 269 which Judgement was duly Entered, Docketed, and Signed by the Honorable William B. Blifs One of the Assisstant Justices of said Supreme Court, on the twenty second day of October in the Year of Our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty four for the sum of Thirty nine pounds and one shilling..... Debt and Cost of Suit as of the Term October in the Year last aforesaid. Given under my Hand the Seal of Said Supreme Court of Pictou, this ninth day of December in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty four. Seal affixed Signed Jas. Skinner Proy.
