Description Hidden Shoes

These Two Ladies Shoes Were found in the old Henderson/Gray home in Seafoam . The House Was Built By Donald Gray Circa 1853 . The property did not contain a dwelling when he purchased it althought the foundation of the present house had been dug in preparation for the construction of a church. This location was deemed to be too far west of the community so it was moved about a mile wast to the present site of the Saint David' Presbyterian Church in Toney River.

The Gray Family  Lived in the house until 1949 when it was purchased by Wilbert Henderson who owned it until 2012 when it became the property of his grandson.

In a recent renovation project in 2014 , to replace a window , two much worn ladies boots , ( not a matched pair ) , were discovered within the wall over the window frame. Wilbert's Son, Cairns, sent the boots to a decendant of the gray family, Margert Gray in Britch Columbia who began to research their origin and uncovered a common superstition.
