Estate of Jacob Langille late of River John, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

This is the last Will and Testament of me, Jacob Langill of Mill Brook Settlement River John  in the County of Pictou, Nova Scotia, Farmer. 

I bequeath to the Presbyterian Church in Canada the balance of that lot of land conveyed to me by Robert Allen and wife by Deed bearing date the twenty Sixth day of November One Thousand Eight Hundred and thirty nine the bounds of which will be found in the Registry thereof in Pictou in Liber thirty nine folio Six hundred and five (Lib 39.fol 605) lying on the North side of McNab's Road so called - (three words scratched out - initialed on side of page) the part lying to the South side of said McNab's road being already sold to Mrs. Susan Cameron.

Said balance containing One Hundred Acres more or less to be divided as follows, One half to be given to the Foreign Mission of the said Presbyterian Church in River John of which I am a member for the use of the congregation.

I give and bequeath to Eleanor Achorn four hundred weight of flour, ten bushels of Potatoes, two cows now on the premises, three sheep, Sewing machine, all the dishes, Cooking stove, the bedstead that is in my bedroom, the hardwood table, all the bedding, except for the feather bed, which I now use, the loom and materials belonging to it, the little black mare and the harness and sleigh.

Lastly I appoint James Robertson Langill and Alexander Reid Executors of this my last Will and Testament, and I revoke and disannul all former wills by me at any time heretofore made.

In witness whereof I hereto set my hand and Seal this thirteth day of June one thousand eight hundred and eighty four (June 30th 1884)

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of One page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Jacob Langill late of River John in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou, this 30th day of March A.D. 1887.
