Estate of Archibald Langill late of River John, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

This is the last Will and Testament of Archibald Langille of Mountain road River John  in the County of Pictou, Farmer.

I hereby give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Catherine Langill all my estate both Real and Personal whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature and quality forever, To Have and To Hold the same unto her, for her use and maintenance her life time, if she remains unmarried but if she marry then she shall no longer use the same.

And at the death or marriage of my said wife, I do hereby give devise and bequeath unto my son J.B. Fraser Langill the western part or portion of the lot of land whereon I now reside, that is the part on the western side of the Mountain road, So called, and also the Southern one half of the Dean and Chapter lot To Have and To Hold the same unto the said J.B. Fraser Langill his heirs and assigns forever.

And at the death or marriage of my said wife, I do hereby give devise and bequeath unto my son Charles Langille the Eastern part or portion of the lot of land whereon I now reside of the Mountain road, So called, And also the Northern one half of the Dean and Chapter lot, And in regard to any personal estate or property not hereinbefore bequeathed - I give the same unto my said two sons J.B. Fraser and Charles to be equally divided between them.

I do hereby nominate and  appoint George Gordon of River John Merchant, the Guardian of my said infant sons J.B. Fraser and Charles.

And Lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint the said George Gordon the Sole Executor of this my  last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and Seal Subscribed and set this sixteenth day of December One thousand eight hundred and eighty four.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one and a half pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Archibald Langill late of the Mountain road River John, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
