Will of Jas W Johnston, deceased
Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds
This the last will and testament of me James W. Johnston of Westville in the County of Pictou, Hotel Keeper, I hereby revoking all former wills at any time heretofore made by me.
I direct my executor hereinafter named to pay all my just debts, funeral and testamentary expenses so soon as conveniently may be after my decease.
I bequeath to my sister Jane McGillivray of Westville in the said County, widow, the sum of Two hundred dollars.
I give, devise and bequeath the residue of my property, both real and personal, of whatever kind and description and wheresoever situate, unto my infant daughter Jean Johnston.
I direct my executor to sell at either public estate auction or private sale all and any real or personal estate which I may own or be interested in at the time of my decease.
I also direct my said executor to hold in trust the entire interest coming to my said daughter jean and to pay the same to her or the person in whose custody she may be from the time as in his opinion she may require it for her education and maintenance, and when she attains the age of eighteen years to pay to her in full the balance if an y, which may be due to her.
I nominate and appoint George E. Munro of Westville in the County of Pictou, Merchant, to be the sole executor of this my last will.
In Witness Whereof I have set my hand this 27th, day of February A.D., 1911, at Westville aforesaid.

Signed, published and declared by the above named James W. Johnston testator, as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us both present at the same time who at his request in his presence have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing type written paper is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of James W. Johnston late of Westville in said County Hotel Keeper deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the eleventh day of January AD 1912.
Witness my hand at Pictou this 11th. day of January 1912.
