I, Catherine Brennan of the Town of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia do declare this to be my last Will and Testament as follows: -

After my funeral expense and medical attendance are paid I give, devise and bequeath to my cousin Mrs. Sarah Haley wife of John Haley, and on her death to her son Archy Haley my house and land on the corner between Denoon and Coleraine Streets. After converting the remainder of my real and personal property into money I hereby request and direct my executor to pay out of said money 1000 One Thousand dollars to my dear little friend Hugh Pringle and in case of his death said 1000 dollars to be paid to his mother Jennet Pringle nee Jennet Munro.

I bequeath for masses for the repose of my soul 100 dollars and 100 dollars also for the repose of the souls of the deceased members of my family, father, mother and brothers, the suffering souls in general.

To my niece Mary Godshaw I bequeath 1000 dollars and in case of her death the said 1000 to be spent for the education of her son Charles Godshaw.

I leave and bequeath to the Parish priest of Pictou 100 to be expended from year to year as it may be required for the proper care of my lot in the Catholic Cemetery.

To Catherine Haley John's daughter 100 dollars. To her sister Mamie Haley 100 dollars and to their mother Sarah Haley $200.

After the expenses in connection with proving this my last Will and testament and publishing the same have been deducted I leave the balance of my estate including 200 with interest loaned to John R. Murdock, Butcher, and 500 due me by George McKay, Coal dealer for purposes of coal property. I give and bequeath for a help to support a boy's Catholic School in connection with Stella Maris Church Pictou, the remainder of said balance, after 200 dollars are given to the propagation of the Faith.

I hereby nominate Rev. Moses Coady P.P., my executor. In Witness Whereof I the said Catherine Brennan testatrix to this my last Will and Testament contained on this and the attached pages do set my hand and seal.

McLeod of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Catherine Brennan, late of Pictou, in the County of Pictou, Deceased, which said Will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou in the County of Pictou on the 12th. day of July, A.D., 1910.
