The Stone is broken in half and it sunk over time , on the bottom half it was said to include his son "Rory". The Cemetery was once called "The Rory Down " after a different Roderick McKenzie from the Saltspring, West River area.  Alexander was the first settler to clear land at Four Mile Brook according to   (George Patterson's History Of The County Of Pictou 1877.)

 In 1803 he arrived to Pictou on The ship "Favorite" along with his wife Margaret and their children including Murdoch "Buchan" and Roderick my 3x great grandfather

Cannot find his wife Margaret Dingwall who on July 17th, 1821  married widower Murdoch Munro from Eight Mile Brook, now known as Brookland (b. 1758 - Apr.30th,1838) - (Marriages by The Rev. MacPherson Mclellan Mtn.)   ... UPDATE:    June 2017 -  At Eight Mile Brook on the 6th, Feb. Last Mrs. Margaret Munro aged 93 years- (Eastern Chronicle "Deaths" Feb.20th 1862 pg.3)
