Form for Deeds Dated 15 May 1906 Peter Brown To D.R. Sutherland DEED Considerations $ 1.00 THIS INDENTURE made this Fifteenth day of May in the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and six. Between Peter Brown of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Surgeons, of the one Part, and Daniel R. Sutherland of the same place, Merchant of the other part Witnesseth, that the said Peter Brown for and in consideration of the sum of one Dollar of lawful money of Canada to the said Peter Brown in hand well and truly paid by the said Daniel R. Sutherland at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, Hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released, remised, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents Doth grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release, remise, convey and confirm, unto the said Daniel R. Sutherland his Heirs and Assigns, All that certain lot, piece or parcel of land situate in the Town of Pictou in said County and Bounded and described as follows, Beginning on the west side of Elliott Street at a point one thousand and thirty five feet northerly from the north line of Martha Street - and which point of beginning is on the west -line of Elliott Street- sixty feet northerly from the northeast corner of a lot of land sold and conveyed by one James Sim, Executor and Trustee of the estate of the late William Patterson to one John D. McDonald, thence from said point to run along said west line of Elliott Street north seven degrees thirty minutes east seven hundred and eighty feet thence north eight three degrees west- four hundred and eighteen feet or to the said line of Purves land, thence south seven degrees west along the last mentioned east line seven hundred and eighty feet or to a point- on the last named line sixty feet northerly from the northwest corner of a lot of land sold by said John P. McDonald to Robert Campbell and thence south eighty three degrees east four hundred and fifteen feet more or less, to the point or place of beginning containing seven acres, more or less. and the buildings, hereditments, easements and appurtenances to the same belonging, and the reversions, remainders, rents, issues and profit thereof, and all the esstate, right, title, interest, claim and demand of said Peter Brown of, in, or to the same To Have and To Hold the said above granted and described land and premises with the appurtenances unto, and to the use of the said Daniel R. Sutherland his Heirs and Assigns forever. And the said Peter Brown for himself his Heirs, Executors and Administrators doth hereby covenant with the said Daniel R. Sutherland his Heirs and Assigns: That he the said Peter Brown hath a good, sure, perfect and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple in the said lands and premises and hath also good right, full power and absolute authority, to grant and convey the same, in manner and form aforesaid according to the true intent and meaning thereof. And also that the said Daniel R. Sutherland and his Heirs and assigns, shall and may at all times hereafter, peaceably and quietly hold and enjoy the said land and premises with the appurtenances, without hindrance or disturbance of, from or by the said Peter Brown or any person or persons whosoever lawfully claiming the same, or any part heereof. And also that the said Peter Brown and his Heirs, the said lands and premises unto the said Daniel R. Sutherland his Heirs and Assigns against the lawful claim and demands of all persons shall and will by these presents WARRANT and forever defend In Witness whereof the said parties have hereunto their hands and seals the day and year first above written.
