Estate of Edward Bryden, late of Westville, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
This is the last Will and Testament of me Edward Bryden of Green Hill in the County of Pictou, Farmer.
My will is first that my Executors hereinafter named shall give my body decent burial and pay all my just debts. The remainder and residue of my real and personal property which shall not be required for such purposes. I devise and bequeath as follows
1st. I devise and bequeath to my oldest son, Howard Bryden all m y real estate including House and Barns, situated on the Northern side of the road leading from Alma to the crossroads near Robert Brown's upon condition that he gives my youngest Daughter Almira Jane a common school education also the sum of Twenty Dollars when she is twenty one years of age.
Also that he gives my oldest Daughter Catherine Sutherland Twenty dollars when she arrives at the age of Twenty one. Also that he gives my two said daughters a home as they have at present- so long as they choose to stay with him.
I devise and bequeath to my youngest son Robert Gordon Bryden all my property on the south side of the above mentioned road consisting of Three lots of land. The remainder of my property consisting of farming implements farm stock household furniture etc. I devise and bequeath to my two said sons in equal value.
My will is further that my said children shall work in harmony and peace together as long as possible. beloved wife all my household furniture and furnishings of every mature and kind whatsoever.
I appoint Thomas Ross Blacksmith Middle River and J.F. Oliver of Westville Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
In witness whereof I the Testator have hereto my hand and seal subscribed and set this 4th. day of March A.D. 1889.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one and a quarter pages, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Edward Bryden late of Green Hill in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
