Description Deed from John Harris to John Brown

This indenture made the Eleventh day of September in the year of Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Thirty Four Between John Harris of the Town Gut of Pictou District of Pictou County of Halifax in Province of Nova Scotia of the one part and John Brown of the same Place District County and Province aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said John Harris for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and seventy pounds of lawful money of Nova Scotia to him and hand by the said John Brown paid at or before the ensealign and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted, bargained, sold, unused, released, enfeoffed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, remise, release, and enfeoff and confirm unto the said John Brown his heirs and assigns all that certain peace or parcel of land situate lying and being on the north side of Pictou Harbour and is abutted and bounded as follows viz, Beginning at the south west angle of lands belonging to David Patterson??? From thence to run north along his west line twenty eight chains or until it comes to the old road thence westerly the several courses of said road thirty four rods at a right angle to the said Patterson line our until it comes to the east side line of land belonging to the said John Brown Thence south along his line twenty eight chains till it comes to the water of the harbour aforesaid thence easterly the several courses of the said harbour to the place of beginning containing twenty four acres be the same more or less with all and singular the houses, outhouses, barns, stables, buildings, ways, waters, water courses, easements, commodities, privileges, and appurtenances to the same belonging our in anywise appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainder rents issues and profits thereof and all the right title estate, claim property and demand of him the said John Harris which he now hath or hereafter may have in or upon the same. To have and to hold the said lot of land and premises with the appurtance under the said John Brown his heirs and assigns to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever, and the said John Harris for himself his heirs executors administrators and assigns Doth by these presents grant, covenant promise and agree to and with the said John Brown his executors administrators and assigns in manor following that is to say that he the said John Brown is and now stands sured of a good sure and indefeasible estate of inheritance is fee simple of and in the land and premises herein before granted and conveyed or intended so to be and every part thereof with the appurtenance and that he the said John Harris have good right full power and lawful authority to grant sell an convey the said hereby granted premise and every part hereof. Thereof to the said John Brown his heirs and assigns in manner and form as the same are here in before granted or intended so to be and that he the said John Harris and his heirs all and singular the land and premises above bargained and sold with the appurtenance unto the said John Brown his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of all and every person or persons whomsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by the presents
