Description Pictou Subscription Library

Rules and catalog of the Pictou Subscription Library Society from 1831. The subscription library started in Pictou in 1822. Books were donated by Pictonians and homeland Scots who were concerned over the education of immigrants. The library lasted for about 30 years.
