Will of Mary Jane Bell Deceased
Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
Know all where by those present that I Mary Jane Bell wife of Alexander Bell of Dalhousie County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, farmer, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do make of my own free will and accord free and uncontrolled by my husband make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills and codicils by me at any time heretofore made. First I give and devise to my beloved husband Alexander Bell if he survives me all my real (initials as next two words added) and personal estate at Mount Dalhousie to be held by him for his life time and also that he receive the interest on all money belonging to my estate as long as he shall live after my decease. Second I regard that after the decease of myself and my said husband that all expenses which may be incurred in regard to my burial and in legal expenses incurred in regards to this our previous wills and codicils heretofore made by me and in regard to probate of this my last will and in regard to carrying out the instructions herein indicated shall first of all be paid out of my estate.
Third I give and devise to Janet Fitzpatrick of Roger's Hill in said County Spinster after the decease of my said husband Alexander Bell said farmer Mount Dalhousie where I now reside together with all the personal property and buildings situate thereon and all my real estate of whatsoever kind or nature to belong to the said Janet Fitzpatrick absolutely. Fourth In regard to whatever money may be left to credit of my estate after the decease of my said husband Alexander Bell I give and devise one half of the said to Maggie Sutherland wife of Robert Sutherland Farmer of River John in said County and the other half to be divided equally between Maggie Fraser widow of Kenneth Fraser of said Roger's Hill deceased Mary Ann McLeod widow of John McLeod formerly of Plainfield in said County and now residing in city of Boston United States of America. I also appoint and ordain Uiraen K. Fitzpatrick of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou aforesaid Barrister my sole executor of this my said last Will and Testament.
In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal and do publish and declare this as my last will and testament on this third day of June one thousand nine hundred and two. Signed X her mark Mary Jane Bell L.S.

I John D. McLeod of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper written is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Mary Jane Bell late of Dalhousie in the County of Pictou, Widow, deceased, which said will has been duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou in said County on the tenth day of March AD 1904.
