Estate of William F. Hingley, late of Vale Colliery, Merchant, deceased, Testate
Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
In the name of God, Amen.
I, William F. Hingley Merchant of Vale Colliery in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, being of sound and disposing mind but weak in body and aware of the certainty of death, and the uncertainty of the time thereof, do make and declare this my last Will and Testament as follows.
First, I give and bequeath to my wife Catherine Ann Hingley Two lots of land which I own at Vale Colliery both fronting on the Main Street and on one of the said lots I now reside. (word with scratched out and initialed) with all buildings thereon owned by me. Also the lot of land at French River, adjoining the land of my brother John and containing one hundred acres, I also grant and bequeath to her the said my wife Catherine Ann Hingley, all Mortgages, all notes of hand, and all monies which I possess, also horses, Cows, and Sheep, also waggons, Sleighs, Carts, and all the harness, Implements, Goods and furniture, which I possess, and all my Real and personal property.
Second, I order that a head stone be placed on the grave of my father at French River grave yard or Cemetery.
Third, I order that Fifty Dollars be given to Sarah Hingley my mother in case of her surviving me.
Fourth, I appoint as Executrix and Executor respectively of this my last Will and Testament Catherine Ann Hingley, my wife, and James Rofs Esqr. of Sutherland's River
In witness whereof I have hereunto my hand and Seal Subscribed and Set, this thirtieth day of September (A.D. scratched out) Anno Domini 1880.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page and part of a page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of William F. Hingley late of Vale Colliery in the County of Pictou, Merchant, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou, this 6th day of January A.D. 1882.
