Will of James Harper Deceased

Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds

I James Harper of Fairview Eskell in the County of Cumberland Mine Manager hereby  revoke all former wills and Testamentary dispositions made by me and declare this to be my last will and testament.

I give and bequeath the following legacies namely To my daughter Sarah Harper my piano, book case and books.

To my grandson James Harper my gold watch and chain.

To my grandson James Harper Anderson my Silver watch and chain

To my daughter Ann Robson Widow the Sum of Fifty pounds provided she shall be a widow at the time of my decease, and I devise and bequeath all the rest and residue of my property unto my daughter Janet Harper absolutely.

I appoint my said daughters Janet Harper and Sarah Harper Executrixes of this my Will

In Witness Whereof I have set my hand to this my will this twenty third day of December one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine

McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true and correct copy of the last Will and Testament of James Harper late of Fairview Eskell in the County of Cumberland England Mine Manager deceased  which said last mentioned copy was disposed in the Registry of this Court on the 18th day of April 1901 the required will of said deceased having been  admitted to Probate by His Majesty’s High Court of Justice in the District Probate Registry at Carlisle England on this 18th day of February 1901
