Estate of William Henderson, late of Merigomish, Farmer, deceased, Testate

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I William Henderson of the Ponds, Merigomish in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer, Do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all testamentary writings heretofore made by me.

I give devise and bequeath to my beloved daughter Eliza Jane wife of William John White of Antigonish in the County of Antigonish and Province of Nova Scotia, aforesaid, Merchant, all the lands and real Estate as well as all the personal property now owned and occupied by me Situate lying and being at the Ponds Merigomish - aforesaid or elsewhere during her natural life for her Sole and Separate use free from the debts, engagements interference and control of her present husband William John White aforesaid, and of any other husband she may hereafter marry with full power to her to give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof to such person or persons or for such purposes a she shall by her last Will and testament to be executed according to Law limit and appoint, and in default of Such will the same and every part thereof to go to the child or children who may Survive her and their heirs for ever, by right of representation.

I hereby nominate and appoint Donald D. McDonald of Bailey's Brook in the County of Pictou, aforesaid, Merchant, Sole Executor of this my  Last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I the above named William Henderson have hereunto my hand and Seal Subscribed and Set as my last Will and testament this Seventeenth day of September in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and Eighty three.

Signed  sealed and published by William Henderson the testator aforesaid as his last Will & Testament in the presence who in his presence and in the presence of each other and at his request have Subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
