Will of Isaac Hartley, Deceased
Certified Copy for Reg of Deeds
I Isaac Hartley of New Glasgow in the County of Pictou and Province of Nova Scotia Gentleman do make and publish this my last will and Testament.
1st. I give devise and bequeath unto my nephew Henry Henderson my property on Skinner Street in the Town of New Glasgow together with my furniture and household effects to have and to hold the same during the term of his natural life in trust of the sole use and benefit of himself wife and children to reside on it and keep all the buildings thereon in repair with power to bequeath the same absolutely to all or any of his children as to him may seem best.
2nd. I give and bequeath unto the said Henry Henderson and John McGillivray of New Glasgow Barrister, as Trustees, all monies owned or held by me on deposit or invested on mortgage or otherwise and the interest due or accruing due thereon IN trust to hold and invest on safe real estate security or on deposit at the Bank Of Nova Scotia until safe real Estate security offers to receive and Collect the interest upon said investments or deposits and divide and pay over the same after deduction reasonable remuneration for the Execution of the said trusts every three months one half to my niece Annie Bell wife of Adam C. Bell and the other half to my nephew Henry Henderson during their respectable lives. My said niece and nephew shall have the full right and power to bequeath his or her respective interest or half in my Estate absolutely to all or any of their respective families as she or he may think proper and upon the death of either my said Trustees or the survivor of them shall call in one half of the princip
al and the interest then due and pay over the same to the party or parties to whom it is so bequeathed.
3rd. All other real or personal property owned by me or to which I may become entitled, I give devise and bequeath to the said Henry Henderson and John McGillivray as such trustees to receive, collect or realize and to hold and invest and devise the interest thereon and pay the same over every three months one half to the said Annie Bell and the other half to the said Henry Henderson to bequeath their respective interest absolutely to all or any of their respective families.
I hereby nominate and appoint the said Henry Henderson and John McGillivray Executor and executrix of this my Will (words and testament are scratched out) and Trustees as aforesaid to Execute the trusts hereinbefore imposed and authorize and direct the said John McGillivray to transact all the business connected with the management of my estate and to deduct and retain therefrom reasonable remuneration for his said services. I revoke all former or other wills by me made.
Dated at New Glasgow this first day of December A.D. 1894.

I John D. McLeod Registrar of said Court do hereby certify that the foregoing paper writing is a true copy of the last Will and Testament of Isaac Hartley late of New Glasgow in said County Gentleman deceased which said will was duly admitted to Probate in said Court at Pictou on the 16th day of April AD 1907.
Witness my hand at Pictou aforesaid this 16th. day of April AD 1907.
