Estate of Thomas Harris, late of Town Gut, Cooper, deceased.

Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds

I Thomas Harris of the Town Gut in the County of Pictou, Cooper, hereby make and publish this my last Will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say.

First, I give devise and bequeath to my son James Harris all that part of my farm and Real Estate which lies between the West River Road and a fence to the South of my dwelling which divides the cultivated land from the uncultivated, and which contain about forty acres, more or less, and also all the money which I have invested or deposited in the Bank of Nova Scotia, or any other Bank. To Have and to Hold the said Real Estate and money to him the said James Harris his heirs and assigns for ever.

Second, I will devise and bequeath to my son Edward Harris the remainder of my farm and Real Estate and also all the remainder of my personal property of every nature and kind and wheresoever situated To Have and To Hold the same to him the said Edward Harris his heirs and assigns for ever, Subject however to the payment of all my just debts and the settlement of my estate and the Costs and charges thereof.

Third, I nominate constitute and appoint the said James Harris and Edward Harris the Executors of this my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereto my hand and Seal Subscribed and set this fourth day of August A.D. 1880.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of Thomas Harris, late of the Town Gut, in the County of Pictou, Cooper, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.

Given under my hand at Pictou, this 19th day of August A.D. 1880.
