Estate of John Harris, late of Town Gut, Farmer, deceased, Testate
Certified Copy of Will for the Registrar of Deeds
I John Harris of the Town Gut in the County of Pictou, and Province of Nova Scotia, Farmer, enjoying health of body and Soundness of mind- thank God for the same, do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all former Will or wills made by me.
I will and bequeath to my son Hugh Harris the whole of my real estate Situate at Town Gut aforesaid and on which I now reside together with Houses Barns and improvements, and also the whole of my Stock of cattle Horses sheep, farming utensils debts credits and effects, money or other property of whatsoever kind.
For my wife Elizabeth I will bequeath and ordain, that my said son Hugh Harris shall well and truly pay to my said wife Elizabeth the sum of Eighty dollars per year each and every year during her life time, and also the use of the two West rooms in my said dwelling house at Town Gut aforesaid, and the one half part of the furniture and bedding of said Housed. To have and to hold to the said Hugh Harris, and his heirs and assigns for ever, the whole of the real estate and personal property, hereinbefore mentioned.
And I do by these presents hereby nominate and appoint George S. Harris of Pictou in the County of Pictou, Deputy Sheriff and the said Hugh Harris to be the Executors of this my last will and testament and trust that they will see the same carried out in good faith.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this fifteenth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy Six.

I do hereby certify that the foregoing instrument consisting of one page, is an exact and literal copy of the last Will and Testament of John Harris late of Town Gut, in the County of Pictou, Farmer, deceased, Testate, which has been duly filed and admitted to Probate in accordance with the practice of the Court.
Given under my hand at Pictou, this 19th day of October A.D. 1885.
