You can filter your search results further using these tips:
Name Match: Wrapping your search phrase with double quotation marks (" ") will ensure that they are searched exactly as is. The wildcard ( * ) character can be used to search by either only first name or last name. You can use the OR operator to search for multiple names.
Examples:
- "John Smith" - will match only people with the name John Smith.
- "* Smith" - will match any person with the last name Smith.
- "John *" - will match any person with the first name John.
- "* Smith OR * McCulloch" - will match anyone with the last name Smith OR the last name McCulloch
Birth Date Range Match: You can use ranges to filter people born between certain years. Range matches can be used in combination with name matches.
Examples:
- 1700...1800 - will match anyone born between 1700 and 1800
- "* Smith" 1733...1904 - will match anyone with the last name Smith that was both between 1733 and 1904.
File Number Match Add the hash symbol in front of a phrase to ensure that only the record with the requested file number is matched.
Examples:
- #1234 - will match only the record with the file ID of 1234
